Library services for Brookfield residents began in October 1960. Since that time the library has grown from being housed in City Hall to the free-standing building it is today. What was a collection of 3,500 volumes is now well over 156,000 items, and that doesn’t even include electronic items!
Join us as we celebrate all the decades the library has been part of the Brookfield community with a variety of special programs throughout the year. There will be something for everyone: local history, world history, music, art, crafts and some just plain fun!
Watch for monthly program handouts for more information and additions to the programs currently scheduled.
Don’t worry, we will continue to offer our regular programs throughout the year, including our six book clubs, adult coloring and knitting clubs, a monthly database highlight and e-reader demonstration. Haven’t previously joined us for these programs? It is never too late to start.
Our 60th year is just the beginning!
