Employee Safety
The City of Brookfield is committed to providing a safe
and hazard-free workplace for all of its employees. It is recognized as a
municipal leader in employee safety and workers’ compensation cost control
efforts.
If you have any questions, would like to report unsafe
work practices by City employees, or would like more information about the
City’s award winning safety programs, please contact Ann Harvancik, Human
Resources Generalist, via Email.
The City has developed standards to promote safe work
practices and to ensure worksites are free from recognizable hazards in a
manner that is incorporated into its routine business practices. These
standards are designed to provide the most relevant and up-to-date information
and guidance on all matters that pertain to maintaining a safe work
environment for all City of Brookfield employees.
In addition, they describe the City’s safety programs,
outline management’s responsibilities in promoting and enforcing safe work practices,
and explain employee obligations to learn about and comply with the City’s
safety policies.
The City’s commitment to employee safety is also
demonstrated by its safety training and employee health monitoring programs.
These efforts culminate each year during Safety Week, a full week of safety training
and development for all City of Brookfield employees.
