Public Works

What We Do

The Public Works Department operates and maintains the infrastructure that provided many of the basic services Brookfield residents rely upon every day including collection of garbage and recycling, transportation facilities (streets, sidewalks and bike paths), sanitary sewer service, and water distribution.  In addition, the engineering for each of these systems is also provided by the department.

Many of these services go unnoticed or are expected to work regardless of the circumstances.  Public Works staff strive to meet these expectations routinely, but sometimes things happen that require additional attention.  In those cases, please contact us to let us know where we can make improvements in either infrastructure or service.

For specifics about any one of these areas of service, click on the links to the divisions for more detailed information.
