Did you know that the City of Brookfield Fire Department has a Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Installation Program available to qualifying residents? If you meet any of the qualifications below, you are eligible to receive a complimentary Smoke Detector and/or CO Detector.

  • Non-renter Resident of the City of Brookfield
  • Low income or unable to obtain an alarm
  • Physically challenged
  • Senior with a fixed income

Fire Suppression
Fire Sprinklers are activated by temperature, not smoke. A smoke detector will warn you about smoke but the sprinkler will not be triggered until there is a significant heat change. Only the sprinkler near the fire will activate.
