Water Rate Increase Notice

On September 20, 2023 the Brookfield Municipal Water Utility filed an application with the Public Service Commission (PSC) to increase water rates.

In accordance with Wis. Stat. 196.193, and 8.0% rate increase was approved by the PSC, and will be implemented on December 1, 2023.  The effect of the rate increase will be seen first on the bills dated 03/31/2024.

According to the new rate structure, the quarterly bill for the average residential customer served by City water (using approximately 15,000 gallons per quarter) will increase by $6.05.

Please see the table below for a benchmark of what a residential customer should expect with the new rates.
