Water Rate Increase Notice

On June 1, 2022 the Brookfield Municipal Water Utility filed an application with the Public Service Commission (PSC) to increase water rates.

The Utility last changed rates on October 3, 2019.  In accordance with Wis. Stat. 196.193, a 4.5% rate increase was approved by the PSC, and took effect on September 1, 2022.

According to the new rate structure, the quarterly bill for the average residential customer served by City water (using approximately 15,000 gallons per quarter) will increase by $3.31.

Please see the table below for a benchmark of what a residential customer should expect with the new rates.
