[ARCHIVED] New recycling cans to be delivered to residential properties in January

The City's contractor, Advanced Disposal Services, will deliver one blue recycling can (32-gallon) to all residential properties (except for apartments with five or more units in a building and those currently using dumpsters) for use in recycling. These will be delivered to each property in mid-January at the driveway with instructions and a sticker inside for recycling. Please affix the sticker to your container as an aid to remind you about what is recyclable. We hope this will increase the amount of waste that is diverted from landfills and is recycled. The City recently entered into a new contract with ADS that provides reduced costs as residents recycle more. So it is true, the more we recycle, the more we save. You can continue to use the blue bin (18 gallon) for recycling too along with the new can. If you do not want your blue bin anymore, please drop it off at the City's Recycle Center for reuse by others or to be recycled itself.
