This ceremony represents a joint effort of the Behling-Kutchera American Legion Post 296, the Oak Hill Cemetery Association, the Elmbrook Historical Society and Brookfield Academy. It is held in honor of those service men and women who gave their lives in defense of our country. Oak Hill Cemetery was established in 1851 and is home to many notable gravesites including Nathan Hatch, the only veteran of the American Revolutionary War known to be buried in southeastern Wisconsin.
