[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Impacts Garbage and Recycling Service

The City is working with our solid waste and recycling hauler, Advanced Disposal Services (ADS) during this period of time. They have indicated that they are still on schedule with collection and do not expect service interruptions. As you know this could change if employees become ill or need to self-quarantine. To aid our contractor during this time, it would be helpful if you would limit disposal of bulk items such as mattresses.  Also, to protect workers from possible exposure, please make sure trash is bagged versus loose, especially tissues, etc. Recycling should not be bagged, but placed in the recycling can; this will limit handling materials by hand. If you need a second recycling can, call the City and we can make arrangements to provide you with a second leased can. Please be aware that these cans are owned by ADS and must remain with the property.
