Waukesha County is conducting a study to better understand the preparedness needs and risk perceptions of its residents as part of the County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan update process. The purpose of hazard mitigation planning is to identify policies and actions that can be implemented over the long term to reduce risk and future losses. Mitigation forms the foundation for a community's long-term strategy to reduce disaster losses and break the cycle of disaster damage, reconstruction, and repeated damage.
Waukesha County residents are invited to complete a brief questionnaire available at the following link, which should only take about 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept confidential, and your participation is strictly voluntary. Your input will enable the County to better serve you. Residents are asked to complete the survey by September 30, 2021.
If you have any questions, please contact Gail Goodchild, Waukesha County Emergency Management, at 262-446-5077.
