[ARCHIVED] Pick up of downed limbs or tops of trees

City crews will pick up downed limbs or tops of trees that were snapped off during the heavy snow storm in December during the month of January as they will also be picking up Christmas trees during this time. There will be a few rules to comply with for these branches to be picked up. Tree branches will need to be cut up such that they are no bigger than and weigh no more than the average 7 foot Christmas tree. They must be able to be picked up manually since the City does not use heavy equipment to pick up Christmas trees and will not use heavy equipment to pick up these branches either. Branches must be placed at the side of the road similar to the requirement for Christmas tree pickup. They should not be placed in the road or in snow banks such that they get frozen into the bank. City crews will not come back for pick ups after January 25th.
