How do I get a credit for water used for sprinkling my lawn or landscaping that does not go into the sanitary sewer system?

The City’s sanitary sewer rates provide for an automatic credit for residential customers for the summer quarter (June-September) in that the sanitary sewer charges for that quarter are based on an average of the usage for the three previous quarters rather than actual water usage.  Customers who have significant water use during other times of the year can apply to have a deduct meter installed, which will provide for sewer charges to be based on actual wastewater put into the sanitary sewer.  Installation of the deduct meter is at the property owner’s expense.  Applications for the separate meter can be made through the Accounting office at (262) 782-9650 or Finance Email.
